But if it did, it would start with Judith discovering at six that architecture can be surprisingly difficult to step out of, especially when one foot is stuck in wet concrete. The fascination was there before she knew the word for it. It turned out to be the first step towards completing her architecture studies at Delft University of Technology.

Meanwhile, Sandra was busy rearranging the furniture in her childhood bedroom and quietly collecting objects from around the house, much to her mother’s dismay. Like Judith, she had no idea that this early fascination would eventually lead her to graduate in interior architecture and furniture design from Konstfack in Stockholm.

Our separate journeys eventually led us to a castle garden in Luxembourg. This is where we met. PetersPetersson came much later… Years passed. We worked together in different ways, on and off, until it became clear that it made sense to stop pretending this was accidental. So we started PetersPetersson.

But then came the ultimate question that shapes everything: What should our studio stand for? After a fair amount of thinking, talking and rethinking, the answer became surprisingly simple… Happiness.

Not the loud kind. Not balloons, nor motivational posters in meeting rooms. More the quiet kind. Spaces that work. Processes that feel clear. Collaborations that do not drain the life out of everyone. Results that make daily life a little better. For our clients. For our collaborators. For us too.

And this is where our PetersPetersson tale really began.
